She Stirs

A change in the angle of light through the windows,

a new mood in the air,

which is full of birds, other wings and flower petals.

Songs, chirps, the buzz of bees,

dog barks echo across the gully.

The breeze rustles through leaves,

and flags

and any loose thing,

the sounds of something new.

Sweet scents come through

that even the rains cannot stop.

Dark and cold, dreary days

slowly fade,

as the Lady adorns herself

in a green chemise.
